Hello, I’m

Burcu
Koçer Oruç

It’s lovely to have you here. I’m the artist behind Okto Art, a designer and children’s book illustrator from Türkiye, now based in Delft.

I find inspiration in nature and the little things around me: a plant on the windowsill, a bicycle passing by, or a favourite patterned vase. Through my work, I hope to share a little of the warmth and wonder I find in everyday life.

Okto Art as a brand

I created Okto Art to bring a sense of calm into the everyday. In a world that often moves too fast, I hope to offer a gentle visual pause through art that softens a space and invites stillness. Through delicate forms and intentional color choices, I design each piece to add warmth without overwhelming, becoming a quiet companion in the spaces we live and work in.

Through Okto Art, I want to transform the ordinary into something meaningful. I find quiet wonder in simple objects and passing moments, and I hope my work encourages you to be more present and aware. I hope my art offers an invitation to slow down, notice more, and find beauty woven into the fabric of daily life.

A little about my work

Soft colours, delicate lines, and thoughtful details give my illustrations their quiet character. My work invites a closer look at ordinary moments and the stories they can hold.

Alongside my art prints and handmade pieces, I illustrate children’s books. You can explore my illustrated titles on Goodreads and find a selection below.

Illustrated books

For my picture book illustration work, I’m internationally represented by Kovan Agency.
